On Saturday 28 January 2017, Al Masaar invite you to find out more about the hijab by trying one on as part of World Hijab Day 2017.

Through this, you are invited to find out why Muslim women wear the hijab, and discuss whether there should be a hijab for men.

The stall will be based in the Howgate Centre, outside of Marks and Spencers, on Saturday 28 January 2017 from 12 – 4pm.

The Rainbow Muslim Women’s Group are hosting a “Pakistani and Scottish poetry event” on Wednesday 25th January 2017 from 6.45pm to 8.30pm at the Dawson Centre, David’s Loan, Falkirk, FK2 7RG, where through literature, they will be strengthening ties between Scotland and Pakistani. There will be performances by Ian Scott and the Sweet Harmony Barbershop band.
Tea, coffee and traditional Scottish and Pakistani snacks will also be served.

The First Minister and her Cabinet Secretaries will undertake a question and answer session to give nationals of other EU member states who live in Scotland the opportunity to discuss the referendum result and what it means for them.
